photographed by, Bernice Abbott. During (1889-1991) picture of a sidewalk with oil mixed with water. Bernice Abbots photography was all taken in black in white and in the city of New York. Her purpose in photography was to document New York City to the federal art project. I choose this immage for the reason that its simple and yet it has so much detail in it. I see a sidewalk and oil mixed with water, there is a reflection in the water that makes this image so much more interesting to view. I love that you have to look, search to find more. Bernice Abbotts work does not seem like it was planned out or set up to look a certain way. She documented New York as it is. She took her picture by impulse and thats why i think her work is so great. I do not know much about lighting, but hers is just great. Abbott captures it perfectly so that the reflection of the building can be seen.Bernice Abbott was documenting New York , i think she made her piont and she made it seen in a wonderful artistic way.
